If we are assigned at expiration and the long put is out of the money, our long put in the spread will expire worthless. If we are not assigned, we will allow the put spread to expire worthless.


The logic behind the method comes from, the normal distribution curve which is what all options are priced by. If the stock remains between the short call and long put strikes, either buy a new put and sell a new call or sell the stock and start the process over with a new stock. The company reports earnings after the bell and it can be extremely risky to hold the position into the close. WIll try and add to my WU position at the open, as well as grab some puts for possible downside on GRMN.


The firm says a statistically significant benefit in the overall survival would be a major surprise and keeps a Buy rating on shares of Celgene. The firm raised its estimates and price target to reflect lower wing costs and maintains a Buy rating on the stock. Therefore, what is left? After the bell today we have Western Union, a stock I think will possibly bounce. Deutsche Bank upgraded Best Buy citing potential positive catalysts in 2013, including its expectations for better than expected Q1 results and continued cost cutting. To determine the trend of the RS line, I use a 30 and 50 day simple moving average crossover with the ratio chart. Another great example of how risky option trades are going into earnings, as both sides of that one will probably lose. To see when buyers are beginning to rush back into Apple, a simple relative strength line can be used.
